Cloud computing is a maturing technology that offers significant business process improvement opportunities for both businesses and organisations. But currently the adoption of cloud computing among under-developed countries is slow due to inadequate guidelines. Therefore, the purpose of this study is aimed at developing a framework called GCAF (Guyana Cloud Adoption Framework). This framework will provide cloud service providers with a number of steps to promote adoption among financial organisations in Guyana. The GCAF is guided by data obtained through surveys and interviews by technical and non-technical managers in financial organisations. The findings indicated that while some organisations were uninformed about cloud computing and had no interest in adopting the technology others were averagely aware and knowledgeable of cloud computing and how it can benefit their organisation but they were concerned about the barriers that hinders its adoption.
